Winston Oh paints in watercolours and teaches the medium at Dedham Hall in Dedham, on the Essex/Suffolk border, in what is known as "Constable Country". The art magazine, The Artist, has featured his instructional articles several times a year since 1999. He has held solo exhibitions in the UK, Switzerland and Singapore, and in mixed exhibitions in Sydney and the Mall Galleries in London.
Winston embarked on watercolours under the tutelage of the late James Fletcher-Watson, RI, who mentored and inspired him with a passion for the medium, which remains undiminished. He was also tutored and much influenced by John Yardley, RI. He greatly admires the work of Ken Howard, with whom he painted in India in 2001.
Winston is an elected member of the Pure Watercolour Society and is represented in the Singapore National Art Gallery collection.
